Plasma cutting is a thermal cutting manufacturing process used to cut sheet metal. It requires a plasma power source, a plasma torch, and other peripheral components.
Plasma cutting uses the heat content of a plasma for local material liquefaction and the high kinetic energy of the plasma gas volume to blow out the liquefied material. The separable sheet thicknesses are approximately between 0.5 mm and 160 mm.
